100% Cabernet Sauvignon, barrel fermented from the perfect vintage! From a west facing vineyard at 1200 feet, with well drained volcanic and gravelly soils, we could not have asked for a better vintage. The small clusters and extremely low yield gave us the very best fruit to work with. We barrel fermented in new french oak with careful, gentle punchdowns and our efforts really paid off. The color is dark, the bouquet exposing a beautiful harmony of fruit, dry chapparel, herbs, and a touch of cigar. The palate follows with great intensity and the juicy ripeness of plums and black cherries, but it's the texture and finish that really bring the WOW factor. Extremely polished, sophisticated, perfectly balanced tannins- our 2021 is the complete package. Drinking beautifully already for such a powerful Cab, it still has another 10-15 years to develop and reach full maturity.
