2025 La Desnuda Rosé of Pinot Noir — Sonoma Valley
"La Desnuda" means "the naked one" — and that's exactly the philosophy behind this wine. Nothing to hide behind: no oak, no malolactic softening, just pure, unadorned Pinot Noir fruit given room to speak for itself.
This rosé comes from Pinot Noir grown in Sonoma Valley, hand-picked early to preserve the bright acidity and delicate fruit character that makes a great rosé sing. The juice sees minimal skin contact — just enough to pull a pale, gorgeous coral-pink hue and a whisper of red-fruit character — before it's pressed off and fermented cool in stainless steel to lock in freshness.
Tasting Notes:
In the glass, it's a pale, glowing pink — think watermelon rind with a hint of copper.
On the nose, it opens with mouthwatering aromatics of bing cherries, strawberry and fresh watermelon, followed by notes of white peach and a touch of citrus blossom. There's a subtle minerality underneath that hints at the wine's cool-climate Sonoma Valley roots.
On the palate, it's crisp and vibrant — juicy, zesty red berry and stone fruit up front, balanced by a bright streak of acidity and a clean, dry finish with a faint saline note. Light-bodied and refreshing, with a beautiful texture to keep it interesting and singing.
This is a rosé built for the table — pair it with grilled seafood, a summer salad, or simply sip it on its own on a warm afternoon.
