2023 Allude Viognier

$42.00
  1. The high altitude vineyard and crisp mountain air really shine through but the secret ingredient is the volcanic and obsidian soils adding tons of depth, complexity and a distinct mineral undertone that I'm in love with. 2023 was a phenomenal year. The weather was just right—plenty of sunshine, balanced rainfall, and a long growing season that the viognier needs to ripen perfectly, and we knew it was going to be a beautiful wine. It glows a pale gold in the light, with just a hint of green that signals its freshness. Bring it to your nose, and you’re greeted by an aromatic bouquet of white peach, honeysuckle, and apricot, with a delicate hint of orange blossom and vanilla. It's like silk on the palate, ripe stone fruits of peach and melon, are followed by a bright note of Meyer lemon and a touch of almond. The crisp acidity balances the richness, leading to a long, elegant finish with just a whisper of honeycomb and a subtle minerality. It’s a wine that evolves with every sip, keeping you coming back for more. The pairing opportunities are endless, grilled seafood or in a light cream sauce would be amazing. It will shine with poultry, a butternut squash risotto, or a creamy mushroom pasta - or alone with a soft brie or triple cream cheese.
