Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from multiple Napa locations, our 2022 Democracy represents a communion from all sides of Napa Valley - singing one song. And what a beautiful song it is! 2022 blessed us with a fantastic year for Cabernet, the very warm summer brought us plenty of rich sugar but the unexpected rain in mid-September slowed things down, softened the skins and helped us achieve perfect tannins to match. The extraction gave us a wonderfully velvety texture with tons of complexity and layers.
Immediately upon pouring, the gorgeous dark fruit is on display and glistens in the glass. Rich aromatics of blackberry, dark cherry, and black tea continue through the chorus of fresh, juicy flavors of dark fruit. The texture is incredibly velvety and smooth even today, but will continue to refine in the bottle for years and years to come. The finish is long and lingering, with not an ounce of flab- great structure and a good frame tells us we can cellar for another 20-25 years, at least!
