It’s impossible to get your hands on a great full-blooded Napa Cab Franc, there’s very little of it grown and 99.9% of it gets blended into other reds.  But not only is this beauty 100% Cab Franc, it’s also coming from one of the finest sites in all of Napa!  This tiny vineyard creeps up the eastern side of the Oakville AVA with perfect elevation and sun exposure, exactly what you need to make Cab Franc sing. 

Right away the glossy purple color signals the wine’s serious concentration.  Let it spend some time in the decanter and the aromas will blow your mind – there’s a gorgeous perfume of violets and dusty raspberry laced with basil, baking spices and freshly cut cedar.  Then the palate is wonderfully juicy, full of blackberry and cherry skin flavors backed by a firm, chalky tannin.  And the finish is so savory and rich right now with a touch of vanilla and spice, we can’t wait for the deeper nuances of earth and leather to emerge over the next decade.  This is going to be special for a long, long time!
