There is beautiful freshness on the nose of blackberries, plum complemented by undertones of fresh violets, subtle hints of vanilla, spice, and graphite. More big black fruit follows on the palate, with dark cherry and cassis predominating, wrapped in dark chocolate and espresso. The finish is lush and long, smooth with just the right amount of fresh acidity. It's simply flawless and will pair beautifully with steak au poire or a creamy mushroom risotto.
